In the Spring of 2018, I left my restaurant job to work on a small local farm.
I had no idea that in 2 short years, I would be self employed and have two businesses that I was passionate about!
The end of 2019 marks the end of my first year as a private chef in Steamboat Springs.

So far, we’ve had some fantastic dinners with friends outside, rafted on the river, gone on a few hikes and mountain bike rides, and squeezed in some camping! I’ve also been working hard on the farm and trying to get my hands dirty as much as possible!
After a couple of amazing days visiting the Chapel Hill area and working on Four Leaf Farm, we guest taught a cooking class with our friend, Michelle, who is the fabulous mastermind behind Farmbelly Cooking School.
As chefs teaching cooking classes on a small farm in Steamboat Springs, we thought it would be an amazing opportunity to travel to North Carolina to collaborate on a class with Michelle.

Last month, Erin and I took a trip out to Chapel Hill, North Carolina to connect with our friend, Michelle, who plans to start her own on-farm cooking school. She currently has a private cooking class business called Farmbelly, where she teaches private and community farm-to-table cooking classes. She also spends several days a week working at a small farm called Four Leaf Farm.
